I never really use to value friendship, I never understood what it meant to have someone you can share everything with, someone you can share your dirty secrets with and she won’t judge but most definitely tease you. That person you can depend on and know that at least when every other person is busy trying to make your life miserable, all she thinks about is how to make sure you get there. That person who tolerates your most annoying character and still is there for you. Yeah, I’m definitely talking about my best friend and her name is….. (Be patient y’all)
When we met it wasn’t that rosy, we didn’t really like each other, and we quarreled a lot over little things that didn’t matter. I never knew that we would grow on each other and become best of friends. I remember once when we quarreled and didn’t speak to each other almost a whole semester and I was like ‘you can go to hell for all I care’ hmmm and I was the cause of the quarrel by the way. We eventually settled it and became friends again.
Let me describe her for y’all briefly. She is short, I mean short (don’t kill me when you read this) but she is really pretty . She has this respectful character and loves to eat. She has this weird laugh that sometimes I wonder if someone is somewhere controlling it with a remote control. The most important of all is the fact that I don’t need to watch news or read stuff on the internet because she already has the gist , how she does it well..I don’t know.
It took us a long time to realize that we were best friends I mean, we didn’t plan it and it was not discussed like ‘hey we should be best friends’..nahh it totally happened on its own and now when I remember all the fights and quarrels and other stupid things that happened back in the day I smile and just know that it was all worth it. Yeah we gist and gossip a lot, mostly about people we don’t like, y’all can check our skype chats and twitter DM’s and see stuffs we talk about ( not gonna happen). We have this weird and mischievous connection and it makes it all easy. There is this feeling you get when you share a problem with your best friend and she goes’ babe it’s going to be ok and I’m there for you when you need anything’, you just get this sense of relief and i know most people don’t understand (I mean those who don’t have best friends..no offence).
I am really glad I met her, so happy that she is my best friend and just so you know TOPE OLU- ALABI a.k.aSassiegirl, I really love you and I ain’t even playing. Thanks for being my besty.
